When my inspiration is gone.

I, like probably most other human beings, have days when I am just completely unmotivated and uninspired. Some days it's only in regards to one thing, such as writing, drawing or sewing; but some days it just seems all my inspiration and passion for everything is gone and all I want to do it's go back to bed and ignore the world.

I've tried to over time find ways to motive myself when I feel like this, I always feel great when I manage to save myself from one of those moods and I usually end up being really productive, I've also found that if I let myself slip into moods like this rather badly then it becomes harder to get out of it.

Recognising that I'm an extremely visual person, I've really worked towards creating a space for myself at home that is really my space and very aesthetically pleasing for me. I have lots of pictures around my room from a mood board/inspiration board that hangs above my desk where I sit to sketch and design, to a few pictures from some of my favourite photographers hanging above my bed as well as a space that is kind of in my cupboard that's half draws then above that I use as a bookshelf and use the wall space to display some of my own film photography work.

Unfortunately I don't have my own computer or laptop as of yet, and whilst the computer I use is primarily mine, it remains out in our living room. Yet, my computer holds all picture folders on it and definitely has no lack of visual inspiration if you go looking.

I have about 200 folders now of archived designer collections, photographers works and a few artists work. I also have one large picture folder which hold over 4,000 individual images that I've likes over the last few years but not known who they're by so they go in a common  inspiration folder.

I often pull from these folders for images to use in mood boards, story boards, inspiration boards, etc for designing and just inspiration.

This is also why I originally started my tumblr, it was fed me visual inspiration, helped me grow this collection of inspirational and interesting pictures, but also gave me a place to share back some of my own.

....

So yes, today has been one of those days that I've had to pull a little bit of extra inspiration to get me motivated so I thought I'd share some different pictures that are inspiring me at the moment for one reason or another.
